Compared to the last report, Movement is slightly lower and demand is
light, producers are saying it has been slower than normal with even
the demand for small bales for horses being light.
Ranchers in some parts of Oregon have just started to feed this last
week, others still haven't had the need to feed their stock with the light
winter Oregon is having.
Most hay is being moved in small loads at a time.
According to the U.S.
Drought Monitor, moderate to severe drought indicated in northeast Oregon
where the rest of Oregon is being labelled as having abnormally dry
to no drought indication.
According to the NRCS, Oregon snowpack
is: Willamette, Rogue Umpqua ranges are 26%-28% of median, Klamath region
is 28% of median, lake County region is 29% of median, Upper Deschutes
Crooked, Hood Sandy Lower Deschutes ranges are 29%-32% of median, John.
