Compared to the last report, Movement is steady, but demand is still
slow, producers are saying it has been slower than normal with even the
demand for small bales for horses being slow.
No new buyers seem to be looking around for hay at the moment while cows
are still out on pasture not needing to be fed.
Most hay is being moved in small loads at a time which is slow for most
of these producers.
According to the U.S.
Drought Monitor, moderate to severe drought indicated in northeast Oregon
where the south and central areas are being labelled as having abnormally
dry to no drought indication.
According to the NRCS, snowpack
in Oregon is Willamette, Rogue Umpqua ranges are 36% of median, Klamath
region is 34% of median, lake County region is 41% of median, Upper
Deschutes Crooked, Hood Sandy Lower Deschutes ranges are 35%-41% of me.
