   US Wheat Prices Recover Part of Friday's Losses, While Row Crops Post Small
Gains

   May contracts of KC and Minneapolis wheats posted double-digit gains Monday,
taking back part of Friday's larger, double-digit losses after reports that
hail and rain disrupted India's harvest. May corn was up 5 1/4 cents and May
soybeans were up 3 3/4 cents after trying to trade even higher earlier.

   US Wheat Prices Recover Part of Friday's Losses, While Row Crops Post Small
Gains



   Summary:

   May contracts of KC and Minneapolis wheats posted double-digit gains Monday,
taking back part of Friday's larger, double-digit losses after reports that
hail and rain disrupted India's harvest. May corn was up 5 1/4 cents and May
soybeans were up 3 3/4 cents after trying to trade even higher earlier.





GENERAL COMMENTS:

   May corn closed up 5 1/4 cents and December corn was up 3 3/4 cents. May
soybeans closed up 3 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 6 1/2 cents. May
KC wheat closed up 15 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat was up 6 1/4 cents and May
Minneapolis wheat was up 15 3/4 cents.
